Attribute/Variable Control

It shows the attributes and/or variables which are available to be included in the object.

Image:AttributeVariables icon To add an attribute or variable to the selected location, drag it from the toolbox Attribute/Variable icon onto the target object; then, the Selector window opens.

You can select multiple lines by clicking on them while holding down the Shift or Ctrl keys. When the selection is finished, the selected attributes and/or variables will be inserted in the target object. For example, if the target object is a grid control, one column will be added for each of them.

You can sort any column just by clicking on the description bar. In addition, you have a Selection Criteria which is used to limit the search for a particular element, as shown in the figure below.

In this case, the selection criterion was Pattern, Object Type and Object.

Other Ways to Insert Attributes or Variables

- drag & drop one variable from the variables list (Variables selector) to the Web Form editor.

- drag & drop one or several attributes from the Attribute Selector tool window to the Web Form editor. If you drag & drop with the right button of your mouse, you can choose if you want the attributes to be inserted as a grid, freestyle grid or table.

- Position the cursor anywhere in the web form and press Ctrl+Shift+A to insert attributes or Ctrl+Shift+V to insert variables.
